Üsküdar University's Azerbaijan Baku Representative Office was officially opened with a ceremony.

Üsküdar University continues to expand its international vision by opening its representative office in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, with a ceremony. Located in the most central point of Baku, the opening ceremony of the Üsküdar University Azerbaijan Representative Office was attended by leading Azerbaijani educators, academics, and media representatives. The office will facilitate Azerbaijani students' access to higher education opportunities in Türkiye and contribute to strengthening academic and cultural bridges between the two countries.

The ceremony was attended by leading educators, academics, and media representatives from Azerbaijan, while Üsküdar University was represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Rector's Advisor and Director of the Social Sciences Institute Prof. Dr. Gökben Hızlı Sayar, and Baku Representative Konul Veli Beyli.

Not just an academic collaboration, but also a cultural and strategic one…

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör emphasized that this new bridge established between Azerbaijan and Üsküdar University signifies not only academic but also cultural and strategic cooperation. “Education is one of the strongest and most enduring bonds between countries. As Üsküdar University, we view our academic collaborations with Azerbaijan not merely as an educational activity, but also as part of the strategic rapprochement between the two states,” she stated.

Prof. Dr. Güngör stated that Üsküdar University is currently collaborating with various universities in Azerbaijan in academic and educational fields, and that these collaborations are producing tangible scientific and cultural outcomes. He expressed his belief that the opening of the Baku Representative Office will further strengthen these collaborations and that joint projects will make significant contributions to the human resources of both countries. “Every investment in human capital is the most valuable investment in the future. In this context, we believe that our interaction with Azerbaijan in the field of education will further deepen our understanding of ‘one nation, two states’,” he said.

A new level in academic relations…

Azerbaijani academics and education experts who spoke at the opening ceremony also expressed their satisfaction with Üsküdar University opening a representative office in Baku, stating that this step would take academic relations between the two countries to a new level. Participants stated that they aim to develop much closer academic collaborations with Üsküdar University in the future.
